This is an elegant Art Deco inspired necklace with a focal painted on mother-of-pearls shell by a talented Russian artist. The colours are very deep and subtle with plum purple, black and teal blue with bronze accents. This necklace is more about light reflection, the focal is shimmering when moved into the light, so is the stylized Art Deco gold ornament underneath. There is also a flashy labradorite gem and two back painted glass tiles. NOTE: by the nature of the shell raw material with variable thickness, the focal is bumpy, not flat.

I brought texture and interest with the laser engraved square tile beads surrounding the top, a few other laser engraved patterns of the Czech glass beads, iridescent sequins and the hanging black aluminum chain pieces on either side. What I like the most about this necklace is the colour combination of the beads around the neck. Stunning!

Care & Maintenance

Do not let perfume or cosmetics come in direct contact with the beads and components. While I choose my material carefully and I try to provide the best quality, if not properly taken care of, all beads will change or lose colour or shine in time if exposed to chemicals.

Handle the fragile components with care especially the clasp area. Be gentle! Because I use lots of fragile components made of clay or porcelain, I advise to keep the jewellery in their own boxes out of harm's way. I do consider repairs, but subject to certain conditions.
